ABOUT THE FOP

The Voice of Law Enforcement Professionals

The Fraternal Order of Police is the world's largest organization of sworn law enforcement officers. We have 324,000 and growing members in more than 2,100 lodges. We are the voice of those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities. We are committed to improving the working conditions of law enforcement officers and the safety of those we serve through education, legislation, information, community involvement, and employee representation. No one knows the dangers and the difficulties faced by today's police officers better than another officer, and no one knows police officers better than the FOP.

Founded in 1915, we are still "Building on a Proud Tradition."

The Gloucester Twp FOP Lodge 206 was chartered on November 18, 2008. The lodge started with a total of 120 members and the members were originally from Inter County Lodge 9. The members chose to form their own lodge to address the specific needs of the officers in Gloucester Township.

Each year our FOP Lodge participates and donates to several different charities and events. We are the proud supporters of the Special Olympics, Camden County Hero Scholarship Fund, Nico's Army, National Law Enforcement Memorial, Gloucester Township Public Schools, and the American Legion to name just a few. If it were not for the fundraising and dedicated FOP members, the Gloucester Township FOP Lodge 206 would not be able to represent such great organizations and for that we thank everyone for their support!

After forming our own FOP Lodge in 2008, we then started a "No Officer Left Behind" fund several years later. This fund started with just small donations from several Gloucester Township Police Officers, to help a fellow brother or sister in need. The "No Officer Left Behind" fund was established solely to assist any active or retired Gloucester Township Police Officer in need. These funds are available to be used to help finance fundraisers and other such events where additional funds could be raised to assist a fellow brother or sister in need.
